We're not contractors, so we don't provide construction quotes. After we plan and design your project, we can provide a detailed budget analysis to help you decide exactly how you wish to proceed.

Ask for or taking advice from a renovation contractor, is often like asking the Fox to help look after the chickens. It's in their best interest to tell you what they think you need to hear, to get the job. They make more money by doing work at the lowest cost and charging what the market will bear. Making a job easier for them, doesn't usually get you what you want. We work directly for you and we earn our money by protecting your project investment and not by increasing the cost of the project. We protect you from renovation cost overruns. We will not provide construction trades work or general contracting services. To do so, would be a conflict of interest and a deception.

WE'RE NOT A CONTRACTOR REFERRAL SERVICE

Many helpful services will find you a good contractor from a referral list (and it's usually free.) They charge the contractor for the referral. Then the good referral contractor simply passes this additional cost on to you. Many renovation contractors don't play by the rules. Hiding behind a referral service allows them to keep getting work, even after they create a mess on your project. Until you can clearly define your project goals on paper, you can't expect any renovation contractors to give you the result you want and expect.

WE'RE NOT A DRAFTING (or Plans) SERVICE

We do provide detailed project drawings (when requested). This service is always based on your concept, for your project. This is only a component, not our main business. Renovation project design/planning is far more complex than simply drawing the plans. When you understand how the various systems inter-relate to each other, saving construction expenses becomes much easier. Anyone can draw a sketch of a renovation proposal. Getting all the details accurately on paper, requires commercial renovation planning experience. We work with a number of Certified Professionals to produce the sealed, engineered drawings required for commercial renovation building permits.

WE'RE NOT PRODUCT (or Services) PROMOTERS!

Many How-to services provide lots of free information. They are paid by the manufacturers or service providers that they endorse! For this reason, we will not endorse or promote any product or services provider. By remaining completely independent, we can provide you with unbiased opinions about the various products and services available for your current project. Since your good decisions are the best consumer protection you have, the need for timely, accurate renovation and design information is critical to your project success.

Contractor Watchdog Services was formed because the current system simply doesn't protect commercial tenants and Landlords from:
